Overview
The Design Museum is embarking on an exciting project to rethink and reimagine its permanent collection gallery, Designer Maker User, coinciding with two major anniversaries and forming a key part of the museum’s wider Transformation 2029 strategy. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Conran Foundation, this project will strengthen the museum’s position as a global hub for the transformative potential of design.
We are now seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to support the Capital Project Manager and Project team throughout the Development and Delivery Phases of this major project.
About the role
The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of the new permanent collection gallery. You will assist with planning, logistics, documentation and installation processes, working closely with the Project, Curatorial and Learning teams, as well as external consultants including designers, conservators and evaluators.

Terms and Conditions
Salary: up to £13,000 per annum (based on a full‑time equivalent of £26,000 per annum)
Contract: part‑time, 33-month fixed term
Holidays: 25 days per annum + Christmas eve (museum closed)
Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days)
Location: the Design Museum (Kensington), with a hybrid arrangement (60% on-site / 40% remote)
